The Housekeeping Inspector plays an important role in delivering that experience by ensuring our guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality. This position is responsible for inspecting rooms after they have been serviced, supporting the housekeeping team, and making sure each space is ready to welcome guests with the quality and attention to detail that DoubleTree is known for. The Housekeeping Inspector works closely with the housekeeping staff and leadership team to maintain consistency, uphold brand standards, and contribute to an environment where guests feel valued and cared for during their stay. Inspect all assigned rooms and suites daily, including bed stripping, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, checking of room lights, television, spot cleaning, and stocking all room supplies. Communicate to team the re-cleaning of any items missed or not cleaned to StepStone and hotel standards. Clean guest rooms and assist with folding and maintaining daily par levels to the day’s needs. Report all items in need of repair to supervisor and maintain equipment used in work. Requirements Requirements Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions. Must have good mathematical and computer skills. High school education and relevant training and experience required. CPR and first aid training preferred. Additional language ability preferred. Physical Requirements: Minimum lifting of 20 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. Hearing, writing, typing. Minimum pulling of 20 pounds. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for inspecting guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, communicating necessary re-cleaning to the team. The inspector also assists the housekeeping staff with cleaning rooms and maintaining supply levels, and reports any items needing repair to the supervisor.
