Description POSITION SUMMARY: Provide a variety of bank operations and support in an efficient and courteous manner. Serve as a backup to the Customer Service Reps. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ACCOUNTABILITY 1: Perform Various Bookkeeping/Operations Duties Follow rotation schedule and duties for the Computer Room, Front Office, Back Office Assists other staff members in the rotation of bookkeeping and operations duties including, Proof, General Ledger, Edit, Internet Banking, and UNET. UNET duties include ACH files, Cash Letter files, Wires, Returns, Adjustments, Currency ordering. Balance and fill ATM machine Assist in ACH/Check Fraud claims Assist with other miscellaneous bookkeeping duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY 2: Back up to CSR/Perform Transactions Conduct a variety of banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, certified checks, cashier checks, money orders, savings bonds, gift/travel cards, loan transactions, certificates of deposit. Proof daily transactions using the single pocket proof machine and imaging system and perform end of day balancing and reporting routines. Balance various accounts assigned to the operations staff. Perform services in accordance with bank standards, policies and procedures regarding document inspection, signature and amount verification, etc. Assist with opening new accounts when CSR is not available. ACCOUNTABILITY 3: Protect the Bank’s Interests Seek adequate identification and evaluate availability of full recourse prior to performing transactions. Remain informed regarding the bank’s security policies and procedures, including the safeguarding of employee lives and cash. Report suspicious activity and violations of security policy to the supervisor. Exercise confidentiality in all matters. Requirements Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years of related customer service experience preferred. Express thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. Project a positive image of the bank to all internal and external customers. Monitor compliance to ensure the processing and handling of information is done in a manner that adheres to FDIC regulations and consumer protection issues.
