Our residential team have some exciting vacancies! We are recruiting Assistant Project Workers who will be based across our residential home in Lanarkshire. You will provide person centred care to guide and encourage our young people to achieve their outcomes set within their support plan.

Responsibilities

AS AN ASSISTANT PROJECT WORKER, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Supporting our young people within both our residential homes and the community, attending fun clubs, classes and other activities.
  • Following and updating each child’s individual care plan, always ensuring you are working towards appropriate outcomes.
  • Building good relationships with our young people and encouraging them to achieve their goals.
  • Working in a positive way with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best opportunities are available for our young people.
  • The ability to communicate and document important relevant information and any updates to colleagues and management.
  • Attending meetings as appropriate and to participate in the effective, supportive, and efficient working of the team.
  • Having an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection legislation.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • To be committed to your own personal and professional development
  • Basic IT skills
  • HNC Social care or SVQ 3 Children and Young People is preferred but not essential
  • Full driving licence required with business insurance
  • Experience in supporting young people would be advantageous but not essential.
