National Project Manager / Construction Manager Location: Flexible – Any Australian State Employment Type: Full-time Travel: Regular travel to major project sites across Australia Division: National Remedial Major Projects Team About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Construction Manager with a strong engineering background to support the delivery of complex remedial, structural, and refurbishment projects across Australia. This is a national deployment role, allowing you to be based in any state while being assigned to major projects where your technical expertise, engineering judgement, and project leadership are critical. This is not a traditional supervision role you will operate as a technically driven project leader, responsible for integrating engineering, methodologies, and construction delivery to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of remedial and structural projects, with a strong focus on engineering integrity and constructability Provide technical and engineering leadership on site, ensuring methodologies are practical, efficient, and aligned with design intent Develop and review construction methodologies, sequencing, and temporary works designs Manage project performance including programme, cost, risk, and quality outcomes Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, drawings, and technical standards Collaborate with design engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with technical and quality requirements Support site teams by providing engineering guidance on complex or high-risk activities Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project phases Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Project Engineer delivering remedial, structural, or civil projects Strong engineering background with the ability to interpret and apply technical design documentation Demonstrated experience in: Concrete repair and durability Structural strengthening and rehabilitation Corrosion protection systems Façade or asset remediation Experience working in brownfield or live operational environments Strong capability in methodology development, staging, and constructability planning Experience managing complex stakeholders, subcontractors, and technical interfaces Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders Willingness to travel nationally for project deployments Desirable Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline Experience across: Bridges and transport infrastructure Marine and wharf remediation Industrial and mining assets Large building and façade upgrades Exposure to temporary works engineering (scaffolding, propping, formwork systems) Experience in specialist contracting or complex remediation environments Projects You May Support You will contribute to technically complex projects such as: Wharf and marine structure upgrades Bridge and transport infrastructure remediation Industrial and mining asset rehabilitation Façade and structural building upgrades Stadiums and major facility refurbishments Why Join Us?
