Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Education is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional content development experience, with at least 2 years focused specifically on the trade unions sector IS A MUST.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional writing, editing, and conceptual skills with an emphasis on educational topics and audiences.
  • Expertise in adapting tone, style, and messaging to various audiences and platforms.
  • A passion for storytelling, with the ability to turn concepts into powerful narratives that captivate and inspire.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), CRM applications, marketing automation platforms, and SEO tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, including the ability to present to various levels of leadership.
  • Experience in analytics, reporting, and utilizing data to inform content strategy.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Ownership mentality, characterized by taking action, thinking creatively, and continuously improving processes.

    - Strong understanding of the importance of collaboration among team members, clients, and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and execute content strategies that align with marketing objectives. Leverage a deep understanding of the following industries to create targeted messaging for diverse audiences: education, trade unions, financial institutions, and commercial brands.
  • Craft high-quality copy for a range of formats, including web pages, email campaigns, digital and print assets, social media, video scripts, blogs, press releases, whitepapers, case studies, brochures, and other miscellaneous advertising materials.
  • Ensure all content is clear, concise, and tailored to the intended audience while reflecting the brand’s tone and voice.
  • Conduct thorough research on trends, policies, products, and competitors to inform content decisions. Translate complex concepts into accessible and persuasive language.
  • Work closely with marketing teams, subject matter experts, designers, and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and creative execution.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute creative ideas, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and maintain editorial guidelines and style guides specific to each client and industry.
  • Uphold and advance client / brand identity and voice across all touchpoints.
  • Implement digital content best practices to maximize content discoverability, engagement, and conversion. Adjust content strategies as needed based on performance metrics.
  • Mentor other copywriters and content creators, providing guidance, training, and feedback to foster professional growth, and maintain high editorial standards.
