Description

OVERVIEW

Lifeway is seeking a Copywriter to help tell the story of Lifeway and its brands across a variety of mediums, from individual assignments to integrated ad campaigns. You’ll be a part of the Lifeway Creative team partnering with Designers and Marketing Strategists to find creative solutions for business goals, using a variety of writing styles to deliver clear, context-appropriate messaging. Your work will help customers connect with Lifeway’s products, mission, and brand.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, etc.- required
Masters degree in Creative Writing- preferred
Advanced graduate degree- not required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCES, REQUIRED

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience, preferably sales-focused in marketing or advertising
  • 3+ years writing across digital, social, print, video, live events, and editorial
  • Basic understanding of project goals and familiarity with church/ministry audiences
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams and creative feedback
  • Strong writing and editing skills, familiar with Chicago Manual of Style
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Adobe Workfront
    Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCES, PREFERRED

  • Prior Copywriting experience preferred

  • Create persuasive, straightforward, and personable marketing copy across digital, social, print, video, live events, and editorial
  • Proofread for grammar, punctuation, and accuracy
  • Collaborate with strategists and designers to refine work through feedback
  • Adjust work to improve clarity and tone
  • Participate in team brainstorms and develop brand-aligned messaging
  • Strengthen copywriting and creative thinking through peer-to-peer feedback and ongoing learning
