This position will work within the community and with hospital partners to bring awareness to the LifeSouth Cord Blood Bank program through public education and recruitment of donor moms. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements - Ability to primarily work first shift. Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays, as necessary - Exceptional communication skills - Ability to interact with medical professional at every level - Positive bedside manner and emotional intelligence with excellent customer service skills - associate degree preferred - Previous healthcare experience preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Who We Are LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. LifeSouth Cord Blood Bank is a community-based public cord blood bank that collects and stores umbilical cord blood for the purpose of clinical cures and research in the field of stem cell transplantation. Our Mission To provide a safe blood supply that meets or exceeds the needs in each community we serve, and to provide a variety of services in support of ongoing and emerging blood and transfusion related activities. This is a full-time position. Starting salary range is $15.50-$17.05 an hour. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
