Schedule: Primarily first shift, Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. About the Role As a Cord Blood Donation Recruitment Specialist, you will: Educate & Recruit: Raise awareness about the LifeSouth Cord Blood Bank program through public education and recruitment of donor moms. Train & Support: Collaborate with hospital staff, OB/GYNs, and nurses to train them in cord blood collection procedures. Ensure Compliance: Review and ensure all paperwork related to the collection process is complete and accurate. Maintain Standards: Ensure collected cord blood units and supplies are stored and shipped properly. Build Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff and the community. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. Experience: Preferred experience in cellular therapy, cord blood processing/research, medical laboratory, labor and delivery, hospitals, obstetrical offices, and/or health/patient education. Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with medical professionals at every level. Other: Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements. Positive bedside manner and emotional intelligence with excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. This is a full-time position. Starting salary range is $17.00-$18.70 an hour. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
