As we continue to grow rapidly, we are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Core Puller to support our operations and contribute to our success. Summary: Locate and transport cores to welding, and document changes in inventory locations/quantities, utilizing a stand-up forklift, Essential Functions: Obtain current transfer orders from final assembly, locate and retrieve cores that are needed and transport to welding area. Check for correct labels and documentation on the transported cores. Check the cooler inventory on a daily basis and make submit appropriate adjustments. Move and rotate cores from racks as needed. Move cores to and from welding line. Document current location of each cooler that is moved or pulled from the rack. Meet the production quotas that were received from the Lead or Supervisor. Print new labels and put them on the appropriate skids Move skids to designated areas around the plant. Fill in for other employees who are on vacation. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of required protective equipment (e.g., steel-toe shoes, safety glasses) Report safety hazards or inventory discrepancies to the Supervisor immediately Follow all company environmental policies and procedures in accordance with AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be available and able to work 1st shift: 5:00am - 1:00pm, Monday- Friday. Ability to use basic computer programs (SAP, Mobisys) Ability to read and understand detailed blueprint instructions. Ability to use a forklift/tow motor (stand-up) Current forklift certification (preferred). Must have great attention to detail. Willing and able to support other areas of the plant, when needed/as asked Physical Demands: Must be able to stand (80%) and walk (20%) of the time. May also be required to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist and turn. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (50%) of the time. Must be able to use a pallet jack. Must use safety equipment such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection. Safety glasses and hearing protection are provided.
