Description

Location: Family’s home | Schedule: Weekdays Only | Delivery: 1:1, In-Person Tuition | Hours: 18
Learn With SAT is looking for a compassionate and creative Core Subjects Tutor to support a bespoke 1:1 education package in the BS21 area. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a neurodivergent young person who is currently accessing education through an EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) arrangement.
We’re particularly interested in educators with experience supporting learners with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), anxiety, and ADD, who can confidently deliver child-led, low-arousal, interest-driven sessions.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role focuses on building trust and re-engaging a learner with education in a way that feels safe, manageable, and empowering. You’ll work independently in a 1:1 setting, supported by our wider multidisciplinary team, to deliver tailored lessons in core subjects such as English, maths, science, and/or humanities.
This student requires a non-traditional, flexible approach—sessions should be guided by their interests and emotional readiness, rather than rigid plans or academic pressure.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Deliver in-person, one-to-one tuition to a KS3/KS4 student in the Clevedon (BS21) area
  • Focus on core academic subjects with flexible, responsive lesson content
  • Use low-demand, interest-led strategies suited to learners with PDA, ADD, and anxiety
  • Work in a calm, low-arousal environment that prioritises emotional regulation and autonomy
  • Collaborate with parents/carers and the wider support network to ensure consistency and progress
  • Keep accurate, reflective records of academic and emotional development
