Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The R&D Core Technologies Manager plays an important role, driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the department while assisting the R&D Manager to plan and manage R&D activities and resources. In this position, you will give support to projects that require Software for their development
In this role, you will be in charge of R&D SW & Robotics Engineers in order to meet with the project requirements of product & technology developments.

For this position it is important to reside in Burgos or near Burgos and an ONLINE/ONSITE Hybrid schedule can be agreed depending on the situation of the projects at any given time.

  • Applying appropriate development and quality standards, and monitors local product quality and change requests to identify issues
  • Serves as a technical resource for the department and provides technical support for internal and external contacts.
  • Supports the development of technical and design guidelines. Technology direction
  • Plays a major role in the creation of technology and product roadmaps together with global R&D management.
  • Executes the medium- to long-term strategy (3-5 years) for own area of responsibility.
  • Monitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency.
  • Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned.
  • Plans and ensures an appropriate project portfolio for the department.
  • Supports team leads to plan capacity, people and resources for R&D projects and efficiently manages conflicts.
  • Oversees efficient, timely and quality project execution and ensures financial and content supervision over the projects.
  • Recommends, develops, and improves processes, procedures, and tools to enhance department operations across individual teams.
  • Applies and monitors appropriate development and quality standards.
  • Prepares annual budgets for the department in cooperation with global R&D management.
  • Ensures efficient use of funds.
  • Assigns tasks, coordinates, and ensures cooperation between teams.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing and skilling of the department and its projects, both short-, medium- and long-term.
  • Ensures talent management of the individuals in the department, supporting employees in their development and career opportunities, both within and outside the department.
  • Lead the evolution of key technologies of GSC AMR, (VSLAM, AI, Simulation, Communications, Power & Energy).

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Robotics or Industrial Engineer with proven experience in the AMR sector for more than 3 years.
  • 3 years of experience in VSLAM & SLAM localization technologies.
  • Programming languages, Python, Javascript+, C++, C#.
  • PLC programing: Codesys, Step 7, iec 1131.
  • Data analytics tools: Power BI, Grafana
  • Operating systems: Windows, Linux.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time systems.
  • Knowledge in Matlab & Simulation systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge In Agile Software projects techniques.
  • 3 years of experience in team management.
  • Knowledge of Phase & Gate Project Management Model.
  • Spanish and English languages (required).
