Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As Seasonal Corn Help, you will assist with key activities in the bin area to ensure smooth unloading, handling, and storage of incoming corn.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • UNLOADING CORN FROM SEMIS: Guide farmers to position their semis near the auger and tractor. Operate the swing auger and open the trailer hatch to unload corn into the grain bins.
  • MAINTAINING A CLEAN WORK AREA: Clean up any corn spills in the bin area to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • GRAIN BIN CLEANING: Enter and clean the inside of grain bins as part of regular upkeep and prep between loads.
  • CORN PROBING & CONDITIONING: Take probe samples from grain bins to assist with conditioning and moisture analysis.
  • OPERATING EQUIPMENT: Use the PTO on the tractor and drive company trucks as part of your regular duties.
  • SUPPORTING THE BIN TECHS: Provide backup and support to the Bin Technicians, helping ensure the process runs smoothly from truck to storage.
