Summary
The Data Analyst will support the Asplundh Digital Innovation Team and Vegetation Management Operations by providing accurate, relevant, and timely insights to inform strategic decision-making. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing data from various sources to address business challenges. The successful candidate will utilize datasets such as vegetation management, geospatial, and financial data, leveraging advanced tools including data visualization and statistical software to organize, interpret, and present information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and manage data, ensuring it is properly routed for remediation as needed, and propose process enhancements where appropriate.
  • Conduct thorough data analyses using suitable methodologies and tools to address business queries and facilitate informed decisions.
  • Detect and analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies within data sets, delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop or refine automated data verification procedures to resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across data analysis, engineering, and business analysis functions to advance data-driven initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in data analysis or a comparable field.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • An evident enthusiasm for data exploration and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in additional data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL and Python.
  • Experience working with data visualization platforms, including Power BI.
  • Ability to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other visual solutions to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
