JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all monthly internal reporting preparation and reconciliations, day-to-day accounting functions and assists with monthly revenue and expense variance reports. Also responsible for all payroll processing including wages, commission payments, and preparation of T4, T4A, WCB filings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business and /or Accounting with four (4) years’ experience in Real Estate accounting.
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office products or similar platforms.
  • Individual must be adaptable and self-motivated.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices, accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, and financial services.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis and budgeting tasks.
  • Familiarity with auditing standards and corporate finance principles is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
  • Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support corporate finance objectives.
  • Conduct auditing processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation records.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, and others for efficient bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Provide account analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in financial operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting processes and financial planning initiatives.
