LOCATION: MELBOURNE – YARRA FALLS (HYBRID)

OTHER KEY SKILLS REQUIRED INCLUDE:

  • Proven experience in a large ASX listed company and top/mid-tier accounting firm
  • Knowledge and experience in financial accounting and working with external auditors
  • Degree in Business/Commerce in accounting or finance
  • Member of CAANZ or CPA
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/AIFRS) and demonstrated application
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under time pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detailExperience using Oracle Cloud EPM or Fusion is highly desirable

Responsibilities

A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE

Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, the Corporate Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring that internal and external reporting is accurate, timely and in compliance with accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the Corporate Accounting function within the Group team, driving excellence in financial reporting and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

SOME OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Group on technical accounting matters such as new accounting standards and their impact on Computershare and responding to technical queries from regional finance teams;
  • Lead small improvement projects for the Group and participate in larger Group projects as part of the finalisation of the Group’s finance transformation project;
  • Assist in preparing the Group’s half-year and year-end financial statements, including key technical disclosures;
  • Lead HQ accounting functions, month-end reporting, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis;
  • Oversee accounting for share plans across the group;
  • Business partnering, month-end accounting and annual statutory financial statement preparation for the charity “Change a Life”; andBuild relationships with direct report, provide coaching, and identify training needs while managing risks within the team
