Overview WHO are we looking for? CAPTRUST is seeking a Corporate Accounting Senior Associate to join our Finance team to assist with financial reporting, the month-end close process, and technical accounting analysis. As part of the Finance team, this individual will be responsible for preparing year-end audited financial statements and footnotes, as well as improving existing processes. Additionally, this individual will assist with maintaining accounting policies and preparing technical accounting memos and analyses, as needed. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with a strong work ethic and possess a strong sense of priority, urgency, and commitment to deadlines. They will maintain the highest professional and ethical standards and be well-organized, service-oriented, collaborative, and accountable while performing under tight deadlines. This role will report to the Director, Technical Accounting. Responsibilities Prepare audited financial statements and footnote disclosures, including balance sheet, P&L, statement of members’ equity, and cash flow reports Partner with external auditors to coordinate the annual financial statement audit Identify process improvements to streamline the audit process and work with appropriate parties to implement enhancements Assist with ad hoc monthly and quarterly reporting Assist in researching technical accounting guidance related to new accounting pronouncements and drafting technical accounting memos Support compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Support ad hoc initiatives, including process improvement projects, stock compensation, and fixed asset accounting Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting 3-5 years of experience in a finance/accounting role Desired Qualifications/Skills: CPA designation Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel Financial reporting background Organization skills with a strong sense of priority, urgency, and commitment to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy and a desire to learn Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills WHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?
