We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Corporate Actions Team Leader Purpose of the role Global Private Banking Manila is a key department within Digital Business Services that supports HSBC Private Banking that seeks to be the leading international private bank for business owners and their families. Global Private Banking Manila supports different entities across the globe providing client services, payments services, trading operations and corporate actions, We provide various opportunities to learn, develop key skills and empower our people to be at their best. The role holder will be responsible to establish a robust operational, financial and risk management infrastructure which will enable the Global Private Banking business to implement and expand its offshore operation quickly and effectively. To develop and lead a team to deliver excellent customer service, manage risk and controls whilst ensuring the cost effectiveness of the GSC operations. The job holder will recruit, develop and lead a management team in setting the culture / creating the environment in which to achieve maximum operational efficiency through the implementation of excellent production and quality management techniques. In this role, you will: Lead, inspire and develop others to deliver business performance. Role model HSBC’s values and instill trust in others. Maintain and improve the delivery of high quality, risk aware and control focused operations Ensure that the processing teams meet all key performance indicators and key risk indicators as defined in the Performance Level Agreements. Demonstrate improvements year-on-year in said indicators Manage operational contingency requirements on an ongoing basis by keeping the contingency requirements continually updated in terms of strategic changes on account of migration growth plans in conjunction with core BCP team. Works collaboratively and communicates persuasively, emphasizing teamwork, diversity, and knowledge-sharing both within HSBC and with external business partners. Build and maintain good working relationships with Group business and operational units to ensure that the GSC delivers a high standard of customer service. Ensure that training plans and personal development plans for all staff are developed and implemented. By managing, setting objectives, developing and motivating the management team and ensuring people management techniques are effectively employed for all staff within the GSC. Understands and interprets complex data and makes high quality and timely decisions within a business context. Applies entrepreneurial and business thinking to deliver revenue growth, control costs, and manage risks. Assists in the implementation of the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Global Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators; Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators; Awareness of Operational Risk associated with the role To be successful you will: 5-6 years of experience in a middle management role with at least 2-3 years of experience in managing asset servicing or Corporate Actions and income processing or accounting. (MUST) Experience in and understanding of investing banking range of products – Eg. Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Mutual & Hedge Funds.
