Responsibilities:

The Corporate Actuarial Senior Expert reports to the Head of Corporate Actuarial and is responsible for conducting actuarial valuation and contributing to project work. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform timely execution of actuarial oversight in high quality according to the given governance framework and Group standards. The position holder assumes project work throughout the Corporate Actuarial global function to enhance the practice in actuarial on behalf of the Finance area and in partnering with the business side or other relevant stakeholders (e.g. IT). The role includes coordination of larger activities, upgrading procedures/models, supervision of junior staff and providing professional judgment and advice autonomously.

  • Conduct actuarial valuation in compliance with all internal, external and professional standards. Project work to establish and enhance professional framework.
  • Understand new developments for standards and actuarial practices to drive implementation in AP. Executes transformational initiatives on subject matters in the actuarial function with cross-functional stakeholders. Continuously applies professional judgment and critical thinking.
  • Provide transparency and correctness of actuarial subject matters as regulated by EIOPA. Prepare related calculations, reports and controls. No formal Fit & Proper Requirements at S2 or Allianz level.
  • Autonomous contribution to achieve objectives in particular for global projects and AP-wide initiatives in collaborative virtual, cross-functional teams
