REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ontario and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Notarial certificate is not mandatory but preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in wills, probate, and corporate transactions.
  • Proven track record of handling complex matters and achieving successful outcomes for clients.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining LSO regulations and operational standards
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and to clients on various legal matters, helping them understand their rights, responsibilities, and potential course of action.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents such as contracts, wills, corporate minute book documents, shareholder agreements, estate planning, and other legal instruments that are essential for various transactions and legal processes.
  • Engaging in negotiations on behalf of their clients, whether it’s for business contracts, or other legal matters requiring effective negotiation skills.
  • Conducting thorough legal research to analyze relevant laws, regulations, precedents, and legal opinions, ensuring their advice and actions are based on accurate and up-to-date information.
