Description

If you have at least 5 years of legal assistant experience in a Corporate / Commercial and a Residential Real Estate practice, then the next step in your career could be with Parlee McLaws LLP in our downtown Calgary office.
You are a self-starter with high attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and excellent organizational skills to support busy practices.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Highly organized and pro-active approach to meeting deadlines while producing accurate quality work
  • Substantial reliability and adaptability accompanied by a professional demeanor and conduct
  • Strong client service and relationship building skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge MS Office Suite with knowledge of other software being an asset (e.g. Worldox, 3E Elite, ALF, CORES, SPIN2, Remindex, SpeechExec, FoxIt, etc.)
  • Experience with preparation of accounts, billing, and time entry with solid understanding of basic accounting principles

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary education from a recognized Legal Assistant/Paralegal program (equivalent experience may be considered)
  • Experience with document management system
  • Keen attention to detail in producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Effectively adapt and work with changing priorities in a high-volume work environment
  • Work effectively with corporate paralegals in adhering to legal requirements and processes
  • Problem-solving skills with a pro-active mindset
  • Quick learner who is curious and retains knowledge
