Based out of Sheridan, IN, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Controller will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the integrity of our accounting practices. Key Responsibilities: Management: Oversee the operations of the accounting department. Manage accounting operations across departments, including control systems, transaction processing, and consolidated financial reporting. Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial accounting methods and procedures. Drive process improvements in financial and cross-functional departmental transactions. Transactions: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger information and the chart of accounts. Ensure accurate product costing and adequate product pricing, reporting variances to senior management. Oversee timely maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure customer invoicing accuracy and approve all customer credit memos prior to processing. Reporting: Analyze and interpret financial data, recommending changes to improve system and financial performance. Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics. Provide financial analyses for capital investments, pricing, and contract negotiations. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA certification. Strong ERP skills, preferably in Epicor. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Experience in manufacturing and inventory costing. Advanced mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow fiscal guidelines, regulations and principles.
