Description:

We are in need of a Corporate Controller to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. The role entails managing the overall general finance function, including overseeing, implementing, and maintaining accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Furthermore, you will ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data while acting as a liaison with banking and tax professionals, and auditors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of the Accounting team, providing guidance and implementing processes.
  • Maintain relationships with local banks and the Group.
  • Regularly work with Group Controlling to ensure compliance with current Group requirements.
  • Provide detailed business analysis support to relevant departments.
  • Structure and organize budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Improve and develop reporting tools and systems.
  • Support the implementation of incentive programs.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of the company’s financial situation and present to Management.
  • Review, audit, and manage department expenses and habits.
  • Ensure adherence with Group guidelines in all areas of Finance.
  • Oversee basic accounting procedures such as Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (G/L), tax payments, and inventory control.
  • Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with auditors to manage year-end audit.
  • Ensure all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month-end closing, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis are done to company and regulatory standards.
  • Review and analyze general ledger account reconciliations and investment transactions while preparing quarterly reports for management.
  • Perform analysis of operations on a monthly basis.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in a corporate controller role or similar
  • Proficiency in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports
  • Strong understanding of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proven experience in auditing, budget processes, and month-end close activities
  • Familiarity with financial tools such as SAP, Sage Intacct, and Navision
  • Experience in Annual Standard Cost, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, HR Budgeting, Budgeting - Forecasting, and Consolidated Financial Statements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong aptitude for numbers and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
