Description
Manages legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Provides a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients. Draft, review and negotiate contracts relating to various matters including equipment sales, joint developments, materials and services procurement, software licensing, subscriptions, confidentiality, data security and other common areas on a daily basis. Be a trusted business partner providing timely, thoughtful and helpful responses to requests from internal clients for a wide variety of corporate and commercial legal issues, including but not limited to commercial transactions; employment; intellectual property; data security; data privacy; antitrust; environmental, health and safety; and product safety. Monitor and communicate legal developments in Europe Partner with the wider, globally located Lam Legal team, and specialists in Intellectual Property, Governance, Foreign Trade, and Ethics & Compliance, as part of contract review and approval processes. Collaborate with stakeholders from business units on implementation and training to ensure compliance with respect to regional laws and regulations, contract review and approval processes. Counsel internal clients regarding company policies, legal issues, mitigation and risk tolerance. Maintain and assist in developing standardized contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks, training and internal knowledge management resources. Support sales offices, manufacturing facilities and research and developments centers in various locations throughout Europe. Domestic and international travel is occasionally required. Duties as assigned Requires a degree in law either a Master or a PhD Some professional experience in general commercial and contracts law ideally gained in an internationally orientated law firm or company; A positive, client-oriented and problem-solving attitude. A clear understanding of economic and technical interrelationships. Skill of drafting, reviewing, evaluating and assessing a variety of legal documents with an eye for detail. Able to work independently and autonomously with a “can-do” approach; adapt quickly to new circumstances and to set your priorities in a new, targeted way Excellent negotiations and communication skills, and you are a real team player with a sense of humor; Fluent in German and English, any other European language is a plus.
