Description

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and qualified LLB graduate to join our in-house legal team as Corporate Counsel. The focus of this role inter alia is to act as a trusted business advisor who works collaboratively across business, sales, other functions, and manages contracting and negotiating of customer and vendor agreements globally for CleverTap. What will you do: * Drafting and first review of various commercial contracts including master service agreements, master software subscription agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and software licensing agreements etc. * Work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product teams and other cross-functions to collaborate and close on relevant transactions/matters. * Be a part of negotiating data processing agreements (DPAs), business associate agreements (BAAs), and other similar agreements directly with customers, partners, and vendors to support compliance and privacy law related obligations. * Continuously improve and maintain product release checklists, play-books, and legal processes to help scale globally. * Assist with standardization of documentation and agreements across multiple jurisdictions. * Research and stay abreast with latest legal developments and compliances that could be applicable on the company. What are we looking for? Must Have: * LLB with 4-7 years of experience; preferably in the SaaS/IT/ITES sector. * Prior working experience as an in house counsel is desirable, not mandatory. * Candidates with law firms with demonstrated history/ experience in SaaS/IT/ITES sector are also eligible to apply. * Demonstrable experience in contract drafting, review and negotiation is a must. * Candidates should have business acumen with the ability to provide effective legal solutions.
