Job Description
You will provide support for all legal matters of the daily operations of Experian Consumer Services. You will join a passionate and innovative ECS team with a mission to provide Financial Power for All. You will report to the Vice President & Head of Legal – Consumer Services in the Law Department and focus on a wide array of transactional and regulatory matters for a digital consumer FinTech business, including:
- Assess and advise on existing and emerging financial services, consumer protection and data privacy laws and regulations
- Perform legal risk and regulatory reviews and risk assessments for new product and marketing plans
- Negotiate complex strategic alliance, FinTech and financial services partnership agreements
- Be a subject matter expert on the evolving legal and regulatory landscape for financial services and will work with the functional leaders and general managers of verticals in the ECS business
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience in a large law firm or in-house setting
- License to practice law
- Excellent academic credentials and the highest standards for diligence in handling legal matters
- Legal experience in relevant areas, including litigation, transactions, and regulatory compliance, product, and digital marketing counseling
- Experience handling matters for regulated industries
- Understand complex business issues, develop practical, strategies and communicate across different audiences
- Work on multiple high-visibility programs, understanding the details while at the same time being able to provide strategic legal advice on big picture items
- Option to work hybrid if based in Costa Mesa, California
