A DAY IN THE LIFE In this role, you will... Draft, review and negotiate legal agreements. Ensure contracts are legally sound, protect ServiceLink’s interests and comply with relevant laws and company policies. Provide advice to the various business units, including contract requirements, obligations, terms, conditions and risks Review vendor terms and conditions and recommend innovative ways to address contract requirements Research and provide proactive guidance and recommendations to leadership on regulations, legal decisions, and proposed or upcoming laws impacting contracts within the Title and Mortgage Servicing industry Responsibilities Create, review and negotiate master services agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements and other similar types of contracts. Ensure compliance by verifying that contracts adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies. Create, review and negotiate technology agreements, if needed. Prepare corporate legal documents, if needed. Perform legal research as required. Assist and counsel business units in assessing and mitigating legal risk Act as a resource and advisor to the business units Provide advice and counsel to ServiceLink’s General Counsel and to ServiceLink’s senior management on business, contract, compliance, litigation, risk and corporate legal matters. Perform all other duties assigned by ServiceLink’s General Counsel or Senior Management. Qualifications Juris Doctorate degree Good standing with at least one State Bar Association 7+ years’ experience drafting and negotiating contracts within the commercial and/or corporate sector Ability to identify and resolve contract-related issues. Strong negotiation skills Knowledge and understanding of the Banking Industry, including Title Insurance and Mortgage Servicing Experience drafting contracts for banking institutions, mortgage servicers and/or title insurance companies is preferred. Experience drafting technology contracts is a plus. Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills; strong attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines effectively Proven ability to develop working relationships at multiple levels of the organization Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) Effective supporting multiple business lines in a fast-paced environment Ability to be self-directed and motivated
