Description FiberLight, LLC is seeking a Corporate Counsel with a minimum of five (5) years of legal practice experience to join its Legal Department. The Corporate Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support across corporate transactions, commercial contracts, compliance matters, and litigation support, with a preference for third-party property insurance claims experience. Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day legal support to internal business units, striking a balance between legal risk and business objectives. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including: Master Service Agreements (MSAs) Fiber and telecommunications infrastructure agreements (IRUs, conduit/fiber sales, colocation, access agreements) Vendor, professional services, SaaS, and software license agreements Assist with corporate initiatives, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, and asset sales, through document review and due diligence support. Support regulatory and compliance matters applicable to the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, operations, construction, and IT. Contribute to contract management workflows to ensure efficiency and timely execution. Provide legal research, analysis, and recommendations on issues as they arise. Assist with third-party property insurance claims for network damage, including drafting correspondence, settlement agreements, and providing litigation support. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred). Minimum of five (5) years of relevant legal experience (law firm or in-house). Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to partner with colleagues across all levels of the organization. Prior experience with commercial transactions, corporate law, or technology/telecommunications agreements preferred.
