Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • Experience with data center or network infrastructure.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience reviewing, drafting and partnering commercial agreements for the build, procurement and operation of technical infrastructure related projects.
  • Experience with data center, energy/renewable energy, colocation, dark fiber, and other technical infrastructure agreements.
  • Ability to manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to work on a broad variety of matters from complex matters to the routine standard matters across.
  • Excellent social skills and a commitment to professionalism and working with others.

Responsibilities
  • Review, draft and discuss a range of commercial agreements support Google’s technical infrastructure procurement and operation. This includes agreements for network and capacity acquisition, data center operations, renewable energy and water procurement.
  • Advice on projects and business initiatives to provide solution-oriented practical advice to facilitate infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Respond promptly to legal requests from supervising lawyers, program managers, partners and executives.
  • Coordinate across internal legal teams on a variety of matters related to technical infrastructure deals and projects.
