READY TO STEER STRATEGIC DIRECTION AT A GLOBAL SCALE?

At GLS Group HQ in Amsterdam, we are seeking a senior strategic leader to help shape the future of logistics across Europe and beyond. This high-impact role places you at the heart of corporate strategy, directly influencing executive decisions and leading key initiatives that drive long-term value and growth.
Your Impact

As a senior leader within the Corporate Development and Strategy team, you will:

  • Lead the development of long-term corporate strategy, in close collaboration with the Executive Board, defining priorities that align with GLS’s international growth agenda.
  • Oversee cross-functional strategic projects, managing stakeholders across business units and regions to ensure seamless execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a thought partner to senior leadership, advising on strategic direction, market positioning, and business transformation.
  • Drive market intelligence and competitive strategy, leveraging advanced analytics to provide actionable insights on trends, threats, and opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and shape new business opportunities, including partnerships, M&A, and digital innovation initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture within the strategy function.

What you bring

  • 5–7+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, or investment/transaction advisory roles, preferably within logistics, e-commerce, or related industries.
  • A master’s degree or MBA in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives at a regional or global level.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align executive teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Highly analytical, structured, and solutions-oriented, with a proactive leadership style.
  • Fluency in English; other European languages are an advantage.

Why Join GLS?

  • Be part of a high-impact leadership team in a dynamic, international HQ setting.
  • Shape the direction of a fast-growing industry that’s central to the global economy.
  • Work directly with C-level executives on transformative projects.
  • Competitive compensation, bonus, and benefits package.
  • Up to 30 days of paid vacation and free daily catered lunch.
  • Opportunities for international career progression within the GLS Group.
