Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant in good standing.
  • Experience in financial and/or compliance analysis.
  • Experience in, or exposure to, a regulatory or compliance environment in capital markets.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose a variety of documents.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent decision making skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Understanding of the operations of the securities market.

Duties:
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Corporate Finance, the Corporate Finance Analyst is responsible for examining complex securities offerings, continuous disclosure filings and exemptive relief applications to ensure compliance with The Securities Act, its Regulations and local and national rules and policies; and participate in the development and recommendation of policy initiatives.
