Description Summary: The Corporate Human Resource Generalist will run various daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering payroll, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position reports to the Human Resources Director. Responsibilities: • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and work assessments. • Ensure operational excellence in benefits administration, and HRIS management by maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. • Lead end-to-end payroll processing with exceptional accuracy and efficiency, demonstrating advanced proficiency in payroll and timekeeping systems. • Administer and manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, state-specific leave, and company-sponsored leave policies. Ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and coordination with payroll and our TPA. • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified salaried job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to hourly compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development. • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, associates, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. • Attends and participates in associates disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations. • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. • Manages social media and corporate communications. • Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is a must. • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems, ADP experience is a strong plus. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. • At least five years HR Generalist experience required, including salaried recruiting; minimum of two years of human resource management experience preferred. • Experience developing and delivering customized communications for social media, internal communications, and staff at all levels. • HR professional certification a plus.
