Responsibilities
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the “corporate division” team within the inventory control department, distribute tasks among team members, and monitor progress.
  • Ensure the financial integrity of Canadian, U.S., and international inventory by validating the accuracy of inventory costs in the ERP system.
  • Ensure that all necessary processes, actions, and reports are executed at the end of each fiscal month while explaining various inventory variances between systems.
  • Perform various analyses to explain and justify discrepancies between different systems.
  • Develop and/or optimize processes and procedures to improve operations and provide solutions to encountered issues.
  • Identify, propose, and recommend improvements to existing processes, systems, and policies by assessing the technical and business capabilities of different applications to generate new sources of value.
  • Ensure that internal processes related to inventory are followed by all stakeholders. Act as a resource person for other departments regarding inventory variances, business processes, and systems, as well as for external auditors.
