We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to join our Fredericton office to provide legal administrative support to lawyers in the Corporate practice group.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain detailed and accurate client and administrative files;
  • Draft a wide range of legal documents and correspondence;
  • Complete tasks within deadlines, multi-task and prioritize;
  • Have the ability to problem solve with minimal supervision;
  • Saving legal documents inside the Firm’s document management system;
  • Proofing, reviewing, editing, scanning and copying of documents;
  • Establish and/or maintain a calendar and reminder system; and
  • Other related tasks, all performed with a high degree of detail and accuracy.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Spoken and written proficiency in English;
  • 2 + years of corporate legal assistant experience is considered an asset;
  • Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is considered an asset;
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft applications;
  • Excellent attention to detail related to proofreading, drafting, spelling and grammar; and
  • Superior organizational abilities and time management.
