Description

We are recruiting for a variety of Corporate Legal Assistant positions to join some of Canada’s top law firms. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to senior level experience and should be someone who takes pride in their work, and will be a team player who is client service oriented. If you are detail oriented, reliable, highly organized and have the ability to handle multiple priorities, this could be a great fit for you. This is an immediate opening located in Toronto ON, offering a hybrid work model.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience as a Legal Assistant in Corporate Law
  • Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
  • Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
  • Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Familiarity with iManage, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign
  • Knowledge of Litera or a similar document comparison program
  • An understanding of CorpLink or something similar
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Takes initiative

  • Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and organize the daily operation of Corporate practices
  • Assist with revising and finalizing various correspondence and documentation
  • Onboarding of clients
  • Administratively manage closings/transactions
  • Compiling documents for signature and send to clients
  • Compiling Record Books
  • Handle daily administrative tasks
  • Manage duties related to accounting (dockets, billing, wires & expenses)
  • Track deadlines
  • Accountable for all work assigned
  • Arrange meetings
  • Calendar management
