SUMMARY

Meissner are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Counsel to join our growing legal and compliance team. The Corporate Counsel will be based out of our manufacturing site in Castlebar and will report directly to Meissner’s Associate General Counsel. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in commercial contracts and general corporate legal matters, and who is comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
As Corporate Legal Counsel, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor and play a critical role in supporting our commercial operations, reviewing and negotiating contracts, supporting intellectual property prosecution, supporting HR and employee relations, and ensuring legal compliance across the organization globally. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments including sales, finance, HR, marketing, R&D, procurement, and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified solicitor in Ireland (or equivalent qualification within the EU).
  • Law Degree from an accredited law school/qualification (LLB or equivalent).
  • 5+ years post qualification experience in Corporate/Commercial law at a leading law firm, with in-house legal experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating and advising on complex, commercial contracts and transactions.
  • Experience with cross-border transactions, intellectual property transactions, data privacy and protection (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA), employment law, entity formation and management and prior in-house experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business strategy.
  • Proactively identifies emerging issues, potential impacts, and translate ideas and insights into viable recommendations.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and peers.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills with a business-oriented, collaborative approach.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
