RMI is seeking a full-time Corporate Medical Director for a prestigious client in the Oil and Gas Industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • GMC Licensed Physician with several years clinical practice
  • Expert in occupational health within the oil and gas industry
  • Highly organized with exceptional communication skills, the ability to thrive under pressure and show flexibility when facing numerous competing demands.
  • 2 + years experience working internationally in a simialr role

Responsibilities
  • Engage with Area onshore and offshore leadership as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and resource, providing expert knowledge related to the medical care and the occupational health
  • Development and implementation of health-related policies, procedures, and programmes.
  • The collection of relevant data to support performance measurement, reporting and improvement.
  • Oversight of Clinical Audit Program to improve the level of care provided.
  • Engaging with local medical experts to ensure that Relevant Company Affiliate is compliant with relevant regulations and laws related to health.
  • Ensure integration of HSE representatives, strengthening “one team” and “one function” culture.
  • Review and approval of medical service providers, offshore medics and 3rd party clinics.
  • Oversee doctors and medics onshore and offshore operate to Relevant Company Affiliate standards and requirements.
  • Responsible for medical case escalation from Doctors and Medics as part of ‘Topside Support’ as Medical Authorizing Person
  • Case review, investigation and reporting on significant adverse medical or health related incidents.
  • Oversee the implementation of a WorkSafe Program and case escalation from Fitness to Work Offshore determinations.
  • Reviews health spend, identifying efficiencies and areas of need HSE budget holder.
  • Lead office health promotion campaigns and maintain annual health calendar.
  • Maintaining a mental health agenda.
  • Provides 24/7 telephonic standby for case escalations as Medical Authorizing Person.
  • Active, engaged and visible leadership with onshore and offshore management and crews via a ‘boots on deck’ approach.
  • Engage with relevant external medical teams/hospitals/ etc as appropriate.
  • Know medical regulatory requirements and regimes in areas of operation as applicable to the expertise of the CMD.
