Position Title: Corporate Trainer  Reports to: Senior Vice President of Training & Product Development  Department: Training Location: Corporate Office – Roanoke, VA / Remote Position Type: Full Time; 40 hours per week Supervises: None FLSA Classification / Type: Exempt / Administrative  Pay Range: $83,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually  Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance with additional voluntary coverages available   POSITION SUMMARY The Corporate Trainer will be responsible for the creation, development, and administration of training programs to meet specific business needs for new and existing employees. The Corporate Trainer is accountable for identifying the skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary for team members to perform their duties successfully and will provide accurate training of ALCOVA systems and processes.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. 1. Collaborate with Senior Vice President of Training & Product Development to create training collateral 2. Create written training materials for the Loan Originator, Loan Originator Assistant, and Processing roles 3. Create training collateral – written, videos, training decks, etc. 4. Create and facility training session both in-person and virtually 5. Maintain and update training collateral as needed 6. Develop additional value-added training as deemed necessary 7. Educate employees regarding process flows that are specific to ALCOVA Mortgage. 8. Create small training modules for the Wednesday Wakeup sessions 9. Conduct training specifically for Encompass 10. Conduct training specially for nCino 11. Educate employees regarding process flows that are specific to ALCOVA Mortgage 12. Answer questions and provide guidance around issues that pertain to training 13. Review employee loan files after training and provide feedback 14. Aspirations to learn more formal training methods including: 1. Learning about adult learning styles 2. Learning about the pathways to facilitation 3. Developing engagement techniques 4. Incorporating games and testing methods into training 5. Developing eCourses EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, AND COMPETENCIES 1. High school diploma, or equivalent education and experience; college degree in a relevant field preferred  2. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time 3. Must exhibit patience and understanding in all interactions  4. Training experience in the mortgage industry is required  5. Must have well-rounded knowledge of the mortgage industry as a whole 6. Experience training Loan Originators/Officers/Operations is preferred  7. Expert-level knowledge of Encompass software is required 8. Experience using or training in nCino is preferred 9. Experience as a Loan Originator/Officer/Operational function is preferred  10. Confident and comfortable training large groups 11. Must be able to take risks and learn new things 12. Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and Bond loan types  13. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills 14. Must be enthusiastic, energetic, empathetic, and creative  15. Must be self-starter, resourceful, and value accountability 16. Passion to serve others both internal and external to the organization  17. Employees must complete annual training in these areas.  WORK ENVIRONMENT  This job operates in a clerical, climate-controlled office setting with adequate lighting and low to moderate noise. In this role, the individual regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and photocopying is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.  TRAVEL This position requires up to 25% domestic travel, primarily consisting of day or short trips to local branch offices and/or Corporate, regional meetings, or occasional off-site training seminars, which may require overnight stays. Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and have reliable personal transportation, with all work-related mileage and expenses reimbursed by the Company.  EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.  OTHER DUTIES  This position performs additional duties as assigned, given adequate guidance and resources.
