ABOUT THE ROLE

Metergy is seeking a skilled and business-minded Paralegal to join our Legal Department. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the end-to-end contracting process, including drafting, reviewing, and assisting in the negotiation of commercial agreements for our Canadian and U.S. operations. You will also own and administer our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, with a mandate to streamline workflows, reduce risk, and improve consistency across contract types.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role that works closely with both the legal team and cross-functional business units including Sales and Operations.
The ideal candidate is a skilled legal professional with a unique blend of legal, technical, and operational expertise, gained through experience as a practicing paralegal, contracts specialist/manager or working within a legal department. A deep understanding of contracts, legal processes and workflows, and technology-enabled solutions is essential.
This is a hybrid role working out of our Markham location.

  • Review and revise complex agreements, balancing risk, business priorities and stakeholder feedback

  • Develop and refine dashboards for legal and executive reporting, ensuring visibility into key contract metrics and workflows
  • Develop and deliver training and communications materials to promote awareness and adoption of the CLM platform (and other new technologies as they are adopted) across the organization
  • Define and maintain appropriate user roles and permissions within the CLM
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all Legal Department processes to support compliance, efficiency and operational continuity
