We are currently seeking a full-time Paralegal for our busy Corporate Commercial team based at our Northampton office. The role will also require travel to our Corby office, so a driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
Our Corporate Commercial Team, recognised by the Legal 500, advise on a diverse range of corporate matters, including Acquisitions, Disposals, Management Buy Outs/Buy Ins and Corporate Restructures and we are looking for a keen and conscientious Corporate Commercial Paralegal, with excellent attention to detail to join our friendly and hardworking team.
You will possess excellent IT, verbal and written communication skills, together with excellent inter-personal and client care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a friendly and supportive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a full and busy position and your role as a Corporate Commercial Paralegal will be to support the department’s solicitors on a wide range of corporate transactions. Your duties will include the following:

  • assisting with file management including attending to file set up and attending to regulatory on-boarding requirements;
  • drafting and amending corporate ancillary documents, such as Board Minutes and Shareholder Resolutions under supervision;
  • effecting amendments to corporate and commercial contracts under supervision;
  • co-ordinating and managing electronic data rooms, including organising, redacting and uploading documents and liaising with clients/third parties in respect of the same;
  • attending to dictation;
  • attending client meetings and calls and undertaking effective note-taking;
  • preparing documents for completion and facilitating signatures;
  • facilitating stamping with HMRC of corporate documents;
  • assisting the team with post completion matters, including preparing Completion Bibles, writing post completion letters to clients/third parties and attending to Companies House filings.

You will already have a law degree, and may in due course be looking for a Training Contract (SQE or LPC) or CILEX route.
