POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager is a leadership role within the Philanthropy team, responsible for driving over $1.1 million in annual revenue through a combined portfolio of corporate partnerships and fundraising events. This position manages all aspects of our corporate sponsorship and engagement strategy, including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and volunteer integration; and leads the planning and performance of BGCSPS’s signature fundraising events. The Manager directly supervises the Events Coordinator and works closely with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to align events and partnerships with the organization’s mission and financial goals.
We are seeking a strategic thinker and relationship-builder—someone who can connect day-to-day execution with long-term growth, and who brings both creativity and accountability to their work. The ideal candidate thrives in a cross-functional environment, is energized by donor engagement, and brings a learning mindset and collaborative leadership style to their team.
While this role is focused on philanthropic revenue, it operates within a strong values-driven culture. The Manager will represent BGCSPS at community and civic events, ensuring that our partnerships and public presence reflect the needs and aspirations of the youth and communities we serve. This position collaborates closely with Marketing & Communications, Operations, and Executive leadership, and works directly with Board members and volunteer leadership on sponsorships, event strategy, and donor engagement, to deliver cohesive, mission-aligned fundraising and engagement experiences.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 21 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate giving, sponsorship, fundraising events, or a related development role.
  • Demonstrated success managing a revenue portfolio and meeting financial goals, including event income and expense forecasting.
  • Experience leading the strategy and execution of fundraising events, including sponsorship fulfillment and post-event evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with external stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, connect dots across functions, and contribute to long-term relationship-building and donor pipeline development.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A collaborative, coachable, and learning-oriented mindset; eagerness to grow within the role and contribute to a values-driven, team-oriented culture.
  • Proficient in donor databases (preferably Blackbaud NXT), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for signature events and cultivation activities.
  • Personal alignment with the mission and values of BGCSPS and commitment to youth development and community impact.
  • Driving:
  • Must have reliable personal vehicle for business related travel.
  • Valid WA State driver’s license with acceptable 3 year MVR - driving record.
  • Verification of Tier 2 Insurance standards.
  • Willingness to travel within designated region for community partnership visits and business meetings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supervising staff and/or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the Puget Sound philanthropic or business community.
  • Experience working with Board members and/or volunteer committees in a fundraising context.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
