Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to provide vital finance support within the CoE team. This role involves executing payroll accounting, post-payroll activities and coordinating with both internal stakeholders and external providers. The ideal candidate will facilitate seamless payroll processes, ensure compliance and accuracy, and maintain high standards of customer service. Support monthly payroll process: Perform detailed review and validation of the payroll exceptions report provided by the external payroll provider, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Conduct reasonableness checks of payroll calculations, comparing trends and variances) Confirmation of the final payroll run with the local plant controllers Coordination of the payment of all payroll runs Coordinate the booking of the monthly payroll entries with GFS to ensure accurate and timely booking of monthly payroll-related general ledger entries Review the monthly reconciliations and resolve any anomalies Provide financial and operational support for ad hoc payroll-related issue resolution, including queries from internal stakeholders and audit teams) Coordinate data uploads & payments to external payroll service providers Support ongoing/annual legal changes which impact payroll calculation Coordinate all year-end reporting requirements Process historical payroll data queries Coordinate local country Tax & Security reporting & funding Strong English language capabilities is essential, additional language skills would be advantageous Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from an accredited institution or equivalent professional degree 1-2 years experience in accounting/payroll accounting environment preferably Fluent English and French Understanding of basic trial balance accounting Strong Excel Skills Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal) and interpersonal skills, Attention to detail, Data driven mindset Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships, Drive for results (achieving key on time delievery metrics) and collaborative style, Demonstrated ability to take ownership of an assignment and customer satisfaction"
