The Role: We are seeking a Corporate Pilot to ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This position plays a critical role in supporting business travel across North America while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. The Corporate Pilot will plan flight routes, conduct pre- and post-flight inspections, monitor weather conditions, and operate a Learjet 75 (LR-45-525) with professionalism and sound judgment.
Location(s): Salinas, CA
Areas of Responsibility:
- Operate a Learjet 75 (LR-45-525) throughout North America.
- Perform pre-flight checks, in-flight monitoring, and post-flight checks in accordance with FAA and company policies and procedures.
- Verify all aspects of flight planning, including aircraft performance, altitude, weather conditions, and related safety considerations.
- Partner with air traffic control and other crew and company team members to conduct all flight operations safely, efficiently, and effectively during all phases of flight.
- Provide passengers and company personnel with courteous, professional, and reliable service.
- Exercise proper and effective crew resource management at all times.
- Verify that all avionic databases are accurate and up to date.
- Exercise conservative judgment when making decisions to start, delay, or terminate flight operations, making every effort to maintain requested schedules and itineraries within safe operating practices.
- Demonstrate appropriate and timely situational awareness, decision-making, and communication skills in response to changing conditions or emergency situations.
- Assist the Chief Pilot with trip-related administrative responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain familiarity and compliance with current FAA regulations, company aviation policies, and all flight and ground operations requirements.
- Maintain proficiency and currency for all assigned aircraft operated as Pilot in Command, as well as for any other responsibilities necessary for the safety of flight operations.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete regular recurrent training programs for all aircraft operated as Pilot in Command.
- Report all aircraft maintenance discrepancies promptly to the Chief Pilot.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to support requested flight schedules and itineraries.
- Uphold a professional demeanor by dressing appropriately, displaying confidence, and treating passengers with courtesy and genuine goodwill, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support company flight operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating, or ATP-CPT.
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
- Minimum flight experience:
- 1,500 total flight hours in fixed-wing aircraft
- 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land
- 500 hours Multi-Engine Land (PIC)
- 1,000 hours in turbine aircraft
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, flight planning, and safety management systems.
- Proficiency with ForeFlight, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
- Strong customer service focus with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
