We are actively seeking an experienced Corporate Purchasing Manager to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Corporate Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing department, establishing goals based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections for the coming year. This role is critical in supporting CNC and EDM manufacturing operations, ensuring timely procurement of materials, tools, and outside services while maintaining cost and quality standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a relevant procurement role in manufacturing.
  • Experience with purchasing for CNC and EDM machining, including precision components and tooling.
  • Demonstrable experience negotiating prices, terms, and lead times.
  • Knowledge of market research, supplier sourcing, and procurement best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP) and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
  • Team-oriented mindset with ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Analytical thinker with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site purchasing and establish long-term supplier agreements (LTAs).
