WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a professional who can consistently provide a high-quality, discreet, and security-conscious hosting experience for all visitors, guests, and employees at our designated site. This role is key to maintaining the safety and protection of our client’s people, property, and information at all times, delivered with expertise, professionalism, and a strong service ethos—ensuring a welcoming yet unobtrusive environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid SIA Licence (desired)
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding customer service within a fast-paced corporate environment, demonstrating exceptional communication skills and a high standard of personal presentation
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to engage with people at all levels
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and basic IT systems
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience operating two-way radios and telephone systems (desirable)
  • First Aid training (desirable)
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach and strong sense of integrity
  • The ability to evidence, for vetting, a 5-year employment history in line with BS7858
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

In this role, you will serve as the point of contact for your reception area plus the other Front of House operations, ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of services across the site. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a five-star “meet and greet” service at the Caroline House reception plus Main Reception when required, ensuring every visitor receives a courteous and professional welcome
  • Providing a consistently high standard of customer service and security support to the client, occupiers, and guests
  • Ensure the workplace (reception, lobby, office, etc.) is visually of a high standard
  • Work closely with client contacts (Facilities Manager, Office Manager, etc.) to ensure the office and/or front of house environment is a great place to visit and work
  • Assist in emergency situations
  • Provide timely and accurate information
  • Respond appropriately to varying and fast changing priorities
  • Build strong rapport with reoccurring customers (client staff, visitors, contractors, etc.)
  • Represent Portal Security and the client organisation in a manner that is in-keeping with the values, brand identity and culture of both
