Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Corporate Solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE to join our busy Corporate team in Stockport. This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied caseload, contribute to the growth of the department, and play an active part in developing client relationships and business opportunities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a caseload of corporate matters, ensuring work is carried out accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards.
  • Meet agreed financial targets by managing time recording, billing, work in progress, and cash collection effectively.
  • Assist in supervising and supporting junior colleagues within the team, including Paralegals.
  • Work closely with clients, providing clear, professional, and personable advice both in meetings and over the phone.
  • Take part in marketing and business development initiatives, helping to raise the profile of the team and win new business.
  • Contribute to team meetings and departmental projects, sharing knowledge and supporting collaborative working.
  • Maintain accurate and organised client files (both paper and electronic), ensuring compliance with office procedures.
  • Actively look for opportunities to generate new work, build relationships with referrers, and develop your own professional network.
  • Confidently use IT systems and case management software to manage documents, correspondence, and time recording.
