Corporate Solicitor L1 - Roia Rangatōpū Corporate Legal – Employment and Information Wellington or Christchurch based Permanent position Are you a solicitor with 2-5 years’ experience looking for interesting and challenging work? We need a junior to intermediate lawyer to join our Corporate Legal team to work in our employment and information law practices. Corporate Legal is a specialist legal team within Inland Revenue that advises on a variety of corporate law issues including employment, information, commercial, property and public law issues (we don't deal with any tax­ technical matters). About you | Mōu To be successful in this role you will bring: Knowledge in employment law and in the law relating to the Official Information and Privacy Acts. Experience in statutory interpretation and legal drafting. The ability to assess legal risks and provide sensible solutions and advice. An interest in learning to write interagency information sharing agreements. An interest/and or experience in advising on a wide range of employment issues including personal grievances and disciplinary investigations. Good relationship management skills for interacting with our internal clients, lawyers in other agencies, unions and external counsel. A current New Zealand practising certificate.
