About the Role This is a key role supporting the development and execution of strategy across major rail and transport infrastructure and maintenance opportunities, helping position UGL Transport to win and deliver some of Australia/New Zealand's most significant projects. You will operate at the centre of strategy, commercial planning, and project delivery working closely with senior leaders, bid teams, and operational stakeholders to shape UGL Transport’s future pipeline and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of UGL Transport’s strategic plan Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across rail, signalling, rolling stock, and asset services Partner with Business Development and Pre-Contracts teams to shape winning bid strategies Provide market intelligence on major infrastructure pipelines and client priorities Support business planning, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy Develop business cases for new capabilities, partnerships, and investments Deliver executive-level insights, reporting, and strategic recommendations Drive alignment between corporate strategy and project delivery teams About You You’re a strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and a track record in transport, infrastructure, or engineering services environments. You thrive in complex, fast-paced settings and enjoy influencing senior stakeholders. What do you need? 10+ years' experience in strategy, corporate planning, or commercial roles within transport/infrastructure Exposure to major projects and/or operations & maintenance (O&M) environments Experience supporting bids, tenders, or work-winning strategies Strong financial and analytical skills, including business case development Understanding of the Australian transport market and government clients Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Diversity We value diversity in all its forms, backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and ways of working.
