Description Goldberg Companies Inc. is a premier Northeast Ohio property management firm headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team. This role supports both corporate accounting and tax functions, with a strong focus on tax compliance, real estate tax processes, and year-end reporting. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working with tax data, improving processes, and contributing to a dynamic, multi-entity real estate environment. Corporate Accounting & Tax Reconcile bank accounts across multiple corporate entities Manage and coordinate payment of indirect taxes, including sales and use tax Support multi-state real estate tax processes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance Review and maintain accrual, tax-basis, and book-basis financial data Year-End & Financial Reporting Analyze construction and capital improvement accounts to support cost segregation and personal property tax reporting Prepare year-end financial data for real estate holding entities Assist with year-end close, including posting journal entries Reconcile tax filings to general ledger balances to ensure accuracy and consistency Process Improvement & Project Support Document accounting and tax procedures to enhance consistency and efficiency Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Assist with special accounting and tax-related projects as needed Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience Experience 2–3 years of accounting experience Exposure to tax-related accounting functions strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively across teams High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Positive, service-oriented mindset Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency Preferred Qualifications Experience in real estate or property management accounting Familiarity with property management accounting systems Experience working in multi-entity and/or multi-state tax environments Still Undecided?
