We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, planning, and consultation for a diverse client portfolio. In this role, you will oversee complex corporate, expatriate, partnership, and dual-status tax matters while serving as a primary client contact. You will collaborate with staff and senior accountants to review tax returns, provisions, and transfer pricing studies, providing guidance and mentorship. This role combines client-facing responsibilities with internal leadership, including training and developing team members. Success in this position requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously in a dynamic and collaborative environment. \n Accountabilities: Prepare and review complex corporate, partnership, and expatriate individual tax returns. Lead and evaluate tax provisions, transfer pricing analyses, and research on complex tax issues. Serve as primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services. Conduct internal and external training sessions to develop staff and senior accountants’ expertise. Manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring timely delivery within budget and deadlines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and developments, applying them to client transactions and audits. Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment across engagement teams. Mentor, coach, and provide performance feedback to staff and senior accountants. Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or a tax concentration within an accounting program. CPA or EA license required. Minimum 5 years of tax service experience in a public accounting firm; Tax Manager experience preferred. Experience preparing individual, business, benefit fund, real estate, and exempt organization tax returns. Strong computer skills, including tax accounting software, Excel, and Word. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Business-level English proficiency required; dual business-level proficiency in Japanese required.
