Job Description We’re seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Corporate Tax Business in Scotland. This is permanent role to be based at either our Edinburgh, Stirling or Kirkcaldy office. Managing your own portfolio of clients, working with Partners on delivery of corporate tax services. A significant part of the role will be to oversee the corporate tax compliance offering as well as providing training to the existing team and to create a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise. As Senior Manager your responsibilities will include among others Client work • Manage portfolio of compliance cases • Undertake some consultancy work • Give exceptional client service • Identify opportunities on client portfolio Staff Management and development • Liaison with Partners • Appraisals/monitor staff performance • Providing on the job training for junior staff on a one-to-one basis Practice Development • Involved in business development activities/profile raising locally • Able to take advantage of marketing/PR opportunities Compliance • Ensuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should • Demonstrate significant corporate tax experience gained within the profession • Be a technically capable tax adviser who is able to manage complex client work • Demonstrate experience of managing people and clients • Have Existing business development skills and appetite to grow business • Have Project management experience • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally • Be a Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent Additional Information As a colleague here at S&W you will have access to benefits that include Competitive salary Private medical insurance Life assurance Pension contribution Hybrid working model (role dependent) Generous holiday package Option to purchase additional holiday Shared parental leave Fully funded training towards professional qualifications Cycle to work scheme Season ticket loan Eye care support We are proud to value the differences that a diverse workforce brings, representative of society and our clients.
